Migrate your Crons to Catalyst Job Scheduling Now.

CloudScale Cron has been in its deprecation period since August 27, 2025, and is now nearing its sunset on 1st October 2026. Post this date, CloudScale Cron will no longer be available in the console, and any business logic built on it will break.

We strongly suggest migrating to Catalyst Job Scheduling to ensure your applications continue running without disruption.

What Job Scheduling Brings to the Table

• Trigger versatile target types: Job Functions, Webhooks (any third-party URL), Circuits, and AppSail services, not just one endpoint type.
• Execute jobs at intervals as short as 1 minute, with Pre-defined Crons (console Builder) or Dynamic Crons (Java, Node.js, Python SDKs).
• Cron Expressions for precise, flexible scheduling, including easy migration of cron logic from other services.
• A dedicated Dashboard with real-time success/failure stats and top delayed jobs, so you can spot and fix issues fast.
• Configurable retries on failure: up to 10 attempts, with intervals from 1 minute to 24 hours.
• Execution History for every job: 15 days in Development, 30 days in Production.
• Application Alerts that email you immediately on failure, timeout, or exception.

Migrating Means Recreating Your Schedule in Job Scheduling

1. Create a Job Pool for the target type you need (Function, Webhook, Circuit, or AppSail).
2. Recreate your cron schedule as a Pre-defined Cron (console Builder) or Dynamic Cron (SDK), pointing it at your existing Job Function, webhook URL, Circuit, or AppSail service.
3. Test it by submitting an instant job before relying on the schedule.

Before You Migrate, Keep in Mind

• Job Pool type cannot be changed once created, so choose carefully.
• For a Function Job Pool, the pool’s memory allocation must be higher than the memory allocated to the functions it triggers, to avoid dispatch delay.
• Dynamic Crons created in Development are not migrated to Production when you deploy your project. Only Pre-defined Crons carry over.
• Circuits are currently not available to Catalyst users on the EU, AU, IN, or CA data centers, so Circuit-based crons won’t work there.
