    Components of ZEST

    Spec Studio

    Generates Server Stubs in Spring, Catalyst Appsail, and Catalyst Functions. Also, SDKs generates in eight different languages using Spec Studio.
    API Automation

    Auto-generates test cases, performs rigourous testing with different possible inputs and generates a detailed report which includes the coverage details, success and failiure cases along with the reason for failed cases.
    Docs Builder

    Generates Documentation based on the ZEST Specification File and download the ready to host Zip file or Host in Catalyst.
    ZEST Specification File

    Define all the inputs of your API in the ZEST Specification File.

    Spec Studio

    In the SPEC studio, you can upload ZSPEC file, edit the uploaded file. Once the ZSPEC file is uploaded, SPEC studio enables you to generate boilerplate codes and SDKs. Currently, the boilerplate code for any API requirement can be generated in Java Spring Framework. It also generates source code for Catalyst functions or Catalyst AppSail. ZEST can generate SDKs for the API endpoints created. This enables the developer to provide fully-packaged, constructed SDKs, instead of just the API endpoints. The developer can generate SDKs in the language of their choice for the API endpoints they create. SPEC Studio supports generation of SDK in eight different languages:

    • Java
    • Python
    • CSharp
    • PHP
    • Ruby
    • NodeJS
    • Scala
    • Javascript.

    API Automation

    Often, developing automation code is repetitive and time-consuming, as similar automation execution and validation code should be developed for every API. To streamline this automation phase and alleviate the associated challenges, ZEST simplifies automation and accomplishes the following:

    • Auto-generation of test cases
    • Automatic validation of test case results
    • Automatic report generation

    Docs Builder

    It enables you to auto-generate documentation for your API. It eases all your manual efforts in creating documents, formatting the pages, generating sample requests and responses for all possible cases, and documenting them.

    Note:

    You need to give the necessary inputs in the ZSPEC file in order to generate the source code, SDKs , documentation and to perform automation.
