# Delete a User

The [end-user of a Catalyst application](https://docs.catalyst.zoho.com/en/cloud-scale/help/authentication/user-management/users/introduction/) can be
deleted to discontinue accessing the application. This is done through `deleteUser()` method, in which the **User ID** of the user who is to be deleted is passed as a parameter.

The promise returned here will be resolved to an object which is a JSON.

//Delete a single user by passing the user ID which in turn returns a promise 
let userManagement = app.userManagement();
let deleteUserPromise = userManagement.deleteUser(1510000000109587); 
deleteUserPromise.then(deletedUser => {
console.log(deleteUserPromise); });
```
