# Delete a User

> **Note:** Ensure you have installed the [required package](https://docs.catalyst.zoho.com/en/sdk/javascript/v1/cloudscale/authentication/overview/#prerequisites) to use this SDK method.

The [end-user of a Catalyst application](https://docs.catalyst.zoho.com/en/cloud-scale/help/authentication/user-management/users/introduction/) can be deleted to discontinue accessing the application. This is done through `deleteUser()` method, in which the **User ID** of the user who is to be deleted is passed as a parameter. The promise returned here will be resolved to an object which is a JSON.
