# User Signup

You can add a new [user](https://docs.catalyst.zoho.com/en/cloud-scale/help/authentication/user-management/users/introduction/) to your Catalyst app by calling the `signUp()` method. You must pass the [user instance defined here](https://docs.catalyst.zoho.com/en/sdk/android/v2/cloud-scale/authentication/create-user-instance) as the argument to the `signup()` method.

The code syntax for user signup is given below:

```bash
ZCatalystApp.getInstance().signUp(
    newUser: ZCatalystUser,
    success: (Pair<ZCatalystOrg, ZCatalystUser>) → Unit,
    failure: ((ZCatalystException) → Unit)?
): ZCatalystRequest<ZCatalystResponse<Pair<ZCatalystOrg, ZCatalystUser>>>?

```

**Parameters**:
* `newUser`: The user instance created before this operation

A sample code snippet is shown below:

```bash
ZCatalystApp.getInstance().signUp(user,
    {
        success -> println("User Sign up success")
    },
    {
        exception -> println("User Sign up failed $exception") 
    })

```
